Sustainability Practices
At Canterville Games, we infuse sustainable practices into our end-to-end design and manufacturing processes in order to bring you the most fun possible with the smallest footprint.
Sustainable Materials
We consciously minimize the amount of plastic used in our games. That's why almost every component is sourced from wood and pulp, including our game boards, cards, boxes, rulebooks, meeple pieces and component bags.
The only element of our games that utilize plastic are the dice (2 per game), the tomb markers (3 per game), and the shrink wrap on the outside of each game box. While this is a minimal usage, we are always looking for ways to replace plastic with sustainably-sourced materials.
Durable Components
We want our games to last a long time, so we design them to be as durable as possible. That's why all components are built using high quality materials and designed to reduce wear & tear over time.
Recyclability
Although we prefer our games to last the test of time, and to be shared and/or donated when possible, we know that every product has an end-of-life. That's why we decided to use pulp & paper as the basis of almost all game components, allowing for maximum recyclability when the time comes.
